The Method: Relative Strength

The EntreComp framework assesses 15 competencies, which are grouped into three main categories:

  • Ideas & Opportunities: Vision and creativity.
  • Resources: Mobilizing people, finances, and assets.
  • Into Action: Planning, execution, and perseverance.

Your archetype is determined by calculating the Z-Score for each of these three categories. This process normalizes your scores against your own personal average, ensuring the result highlights your relative strengths and weaknesses, regardless of whether your overall scores are high or low.

Classification Criteria

The archetype is assigned based on the degree of difference between your three normalized category scores:

Single Dominant Profile: Assigned if your highest Z-score stands clearly above the other two.
Combined Profile: Assigned if your two highest Z-scores are close, meaning you have dual dominant strengths.
Balanced Profile: Assigned if the difference between your highest and lowest Z-score is very small.
